HONEY BEES ARE FOOD CROP POLLINATORS. WE DON’T GET TO EAT WITHOUT THEM.
CROPS INCLUDE ALMONDS, APPLES, BLUEBERRIES, BLACKBERRIES, CANTALOUPES, MELONS, CUCUMBERS, TOMATOES, SQUASH, PEAS, AND CORN TO NAME A FEW.

If a property owner suspects that a structure is occupied or infested with Feral Honey Bees, they should avoid disturbing the bees. DO NOT spray with pesticide. If you kill them in the structure, you will attract a host of vermin including fire ants, mice, beetles, wax moths, etc., not to mention, other colonies of bees. Move slowly away from the bees and contact a local beekeeper. You may visit www.lsuagcenter.com and search for bee removal. As of 2023, we are no longer removing honeybees from structures. Thank you.
